About Us
At Good Steward Health, we believe healthcare should be personal, faith-guided, and focused on root causes — not just quick fixes. By limiting the number of patients we serve, we’re able to offer unrushed visits, direct communication, and a relationship with your doctor that goes beyond the traditional system.
Through a simple membership model, you’ll have access to comprehensive, insurance-free care without barriers. We proudly serve individuals and families in Harker Heights, Belton, Temple, Salado, and surrounding Central Texas communities, offering:
Lifestyle and preventive care
Chronic disease management
Pediatric care and annual physicals
IV infusions
Hormone replacement therapy when appropriate
In-office procedures
Access to discounted labs, imaging, supplements, and medications
Members also benefit from unlimited visits and direct access to their physician, along with personalized guidance for lasting health and wellness.
At the heart of it all, you’ll have a physician who takes the time to listen, guide, and walk with you — helping you and your family pursue health with confidence and hope.
Kyla Martin, DO
Dr. Kyla Martin is a board-certified Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine physician with a heart for whole-person, faith-driven care.
Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she and her husband Stephen married in 2005 and later moved to Denver, where she completed medical school at Rocky Vista University.
Through an Army scholarship, Dr. Martin trained in Family Medicine at Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, TX. She went on to serve as a brigade surgeon and Inpatient Medicine Director, gaining extensive experience in both leadership and comprehensive patient care. After leaving the Army in 2020, she continued practicing as a hospitalist and later as Inpatient Assistant Medical Director with Scott and White.
Dr. Martin’s medical journey has always been shaped by her Christian faith. She co-founded Vintage Church — now a thriving congregation with a classical Christian school and a Church Leadership College — and continues to serve in her community. Her passion for whole-person, integrative care led her to pursue an additional board certification in Lifestyle Medicine, where she emphasizes prevention, nutrition, movement, sleep, and environmental stewardship as God-given resources for health.
At Good Steward Health in Harker Heights, TX, Dr. Martin blends evidence-based medicine with a faith-driven, whole-person approach. Her goal is not only to treat illness but to equip patients to reclaim health and resilience by addressing root causes whenever possible. She is especially passionate about helping families embrace preventive care and healthier lifestyles — lessons that have deeply impacted her own family.
Dr. Martin, her husband Stephen, and their four children enjoy serving together at Vintage Church, sharing meals at home, and spending time outdoors.
